One of the great features that you can have from an autoresponder is automatic response to anyone who requests more information about your business.
You’ll, then, take advantage of this feature to help automate your list-building and prospecting process (sometimes up to the sign up process), if you do it correctly.
What you need to do is prepare 5 to 7 messages about your business and upload them into your autoresponder system. Set these messages to be delivered 2 to 3 days apart so that anyone requesting information from you will get all your messages in a sequence over a period of about 3 weeks.
Then, give a reason why anyone should be on your mailing list.
Here is a brief example of how you can customize your autoresponder with 7 messages.
Message #1: Sent Immediately
In this message, you can thank the persons who requested the business information from you. Tell a little background about you and encourage these persons to contact you and ask any question about your business. Then, leave a link to your MLM website so that they can explore the opportunity themselves.
Message #2: Sent 2 days apart
In this message, let them know the benefits of your own products and how these products are unique from others. Leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
Message #3: Sent 3 days apart
In this message, brief them about the Internet MLM in general and how people make money from the Internet and MLM. Then, leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
Message #4: Sent 2 days apart
In this message, explain to them the opportunity to make an extra recurring and growing income from your business. Remind them about the concept of MLM that you mentioned in your previous email. At the end of your message, leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
Message #5: Sent 4 days apart
In this message, let them know how you can help them achieve success in your Internet MLM business. Tell them the system you are using and the support group that you have. Let them evaluate if your business is the right one for them. Then, leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
Message #6: Sent 2 days apart
In this message, put a few testimonials from happy customers or members that have been working the business with you. Make it a point that they can do the same part time. Again, leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
Message #7: Sent 3 days apart
In this message, ask their feedback about your Internet MLM program. Mention that you’re doing a survey of why some people are not open to this type of business or why they are hesitant to join. You’ll get some good feedback of the concerns that other people have about your program and if these concerns arise again, you can expect some answers that you can give to your prospects. Lastly, leave a link to your MLM website and encourage them to contact you.
These are just sample email templates that you can write and upload them into your autoresponder system. They don’t have to be in an order like above and they don’t have to be only 7 of them. You can write as many as you want about any subjects that you like. However, observe that in every email message that you write, you want to end with a call of action for your prospects to visit your MLM website or contact you for more information. A good MLM website, with direct-marketing sales copy, can do business presentation for you and potentially sign up these prospects without having you to tell them how they can join your business.
Don’t be surprised to have people sign up in your team even before they contact you in person. On the Internet, it’s possible.
Now that you have your messages uploaded into your autoresponder system, you want to let a lot of people know about your opportunity. But, before that, you need to give a reason why these people should request more information from you and be in your mailing list.

The statistics on small businesses going broke in the first 12 months of operation are nothing short of obscene and seriously scary. In Australia and other western countries such as the United States 70% of all small businesses fail within the first 12 months of operation but let me tell you from experience, surviving after that 12 months is no less harrowing.
After 10 years of running four small businesses and creating them from scratch I can tell you with some authority, that I did not do this on my own. In fact, I reckon I have made every mistake in the book on how not to run a small business, but yet I have still survived. The secret to staying in business is all down to being able to talk to my ten Small Business Mastermind Advisers.
My ten Small Business Mastermind Advisers are there as my support team in helping me make the right decisions. See often when we make a decision in small business, it might be right at the time but down the track it can do you a lot of harm. Having your small business mastermind advisers on call, you can simply call them and ask them the consequences of the choices you are about to make.
For example, having the right business structure and putting your business assets in the right structure will play a major roll in the success of your business when you decide to exit the business. Se e most people who go into business only ever think of the business as a job they do not look at it from the perspective of how they will exit the business when they have built it into an enterprise.
Those ten small business mastermind advisers will help you to ensure that you have met your obligations and that there are no hidden issues that might come up in the future for your business. For example, we recently chose to sell off our car cleaning business as my wife wanted to pursue something different. Because of the way I had structured some of the trademarks in my company that related to hers, when we went and sold the business it created a number of headaches in the sale process. Essentially we had to shift ownership of those trademarks to her company prior to the sale which created a number of financial costs that we have had to endure even though my company never made any money. This issue arose simply because in the early days, I did not have my 10 Small Business Mastermind Advisers to tell me how my choices would impact on me in the future.
Adviser 1: Accountant
In business today, with the complexities of superannuation, sales tax or GST, income tax and all the other taxes out there an accountant is a must. As a small business owner you need to find an accountant that is a small business specialist and is proactive in working with you.
What I have found is that some accountants will only do what you ask them to do and will not step in and give you advice if you do not ask. You want an accountant that if they see you are doing something wrong then they will tell you without you asking.
The other thing you will need to ensure is that you hire an accountant that outlines where all of their hours are going. It is very easy for you with accountants and solicitors to end up with 5 or 6 figure bills.
Adviser 2: Solicitor
The solicitor is another important Small Business Mastermind adviser. Just like the accountant you need to make sure that the solicitor is a small business specialist. The role of the solicitor is to help you with all legal issues like what structure suits what you want to achieve, do your forms and policies meet your legal obligations, like your privacy policy, recruitment policy etc.
They can also help you protect your assets and in particular your intellectual property like trademarks, copyright etc. Often small business owners do not do the basics of trademarking their business name and logos to stop other business predators using their identities.
Adviser 3: Marketing and Advertising Expert
A Marketing and Advertising Expert is a must in today’s market place. I have found that with the various media types, people in the industry can get better deals than if you dealt with the media owners. For example, recently I chose a new advertising specialist to join my small business mastermind advisers because their company was able to negotiate lower television advert placements, than what I could dealing directly with the station.
Your marketing and advertising expert should have some experience in your industry and be able to show real statistics of adverts and marketing campaigns that actually achieved results. More so, they should also have a mantra of test and measure to ensure that your campaigns are giving you value for money and more so, are making you a profit.
Adviser 4: Bookkeeper
Some accountants have their own bookkeepers, but I have found that quite often they are more expensive than bookkeepers not tied into an accountant. Further to this you should always check to make sure the bookkeeper is certified. In some countries, including Australia, bookkeepers can be certified through the National Bookkeepers association or the CPA.
Your bookkeeper must be prepared to work with your accountant and if they have questions you must give them permission to speak with your accountant and more so, you need to make sure that they document all communications with your accountant.
Remember one thing, it does not matter whether your Bookkeeper or your accountant makes a mistake, ultimately, you as the business owner are responsible for your books. If they get it wrong, it will be on your head, so always make sure that you understand what they are doing.
Adviser 5: IT Person
Everybody hates computers and I am a 20 year veteran of the industry and I still hate them. Having a good IT person is essential. Most businesses today are now totally reliant on their IT Technology and if your technology goes down, the question you need to ask is, could your business still operate? If the answer is no, then you need to hire an IT person who will be there in an emergency.
When choosing an IT Person or company make sure they are qualified in the technology you are using. For example, if you are using Microsoft Windows technology in your office, then your IT Person should have at the very least the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician qualification.
Adviser 6: Website and Search Engine Expert
If your business is not on the web and you are not selling products to the global market then you are making your life incredibly difficult and you are missing out on lots of opportunities. The internet is a fantastic tool for doing business but be warned there are lots of crooks out there, especially in the search engine optimization industry.
Before choosing a web builder and search engine expert ask to speak with some of their existing clients or talk to other business associates and find out who they use. I will say you should expect to pay anywhere between $1,500 to $5,000 per month for this service depending on your business and what sort of income you want to derive from the internet.
Adviser 7: Business Coach
Business Coaches, are like website and search engine experts, there are a lot of snakes out there who have no real small business experience. Before choosing a Business Coach ask them if they have ever owned a small business or if they had been a principle small business manager.
If you have been in small business for a while, then it will be very obvious to you as to which business coaches have owned businesses before going into business coaching. Their approach will tend to be more practical then something out of a book. Once again before choosing a business coach, talk to your business colleagues and see if they can recommend someone.
Adviser 8: Financial Planner
Managing your money is a major issue and most accountants will not give you Financial Planning Advice. A good financial planner will be able to help you where to put your business money, to get good growth but also to be easily accessible.
You should also have a good financial planner for your personal 401k or superannuation policy but also if you are managing an employer superannuation program. Most small business owners forget to build their own 401k or superannuation policy as they are building their business and when they get to selling their business they find they do not have enough to live on once they retire because once the business debts are paid off, nothing is left.
Adviser 9: Business Banker
Finding the right bank and right business banker is essential to succeeding in business. You definitely need to build a constructive relationship with your business banker as they will be your life line in a dire cashflow situation or if you need money for a deal you just could not let go by.
Business Bankers can also help you with other issues like leasing and hire purchase accounts, but also other facilities like merchant facilities, sales tax bank accounts etc.
Adviser 10: Insurance Broker
I learned the hard way on how important an insurance broker is to your business. The previous insurance company I dealt with did not advise me that none of the glass in my building was covered if I was broken into. I have extensive insurance, but because Glass was an optional extra, the previous insurance company did not tell me this and when we were broken into, even though I pay over $5,000 per year in insurance, I still had a $4,000 bill for all the glass damaged during a break and enter.
This particular experience really drove home, how a good insurance broker, whilst upfront might cost you more, in the future will save you more.
Just like any employee when you are putting together your Small Business Mastermind Advisers you need to interview each adviser and ensure that you are able to work with them. Further to this, to get the best advice from your Small Business Mastermind Advisers you must be 100% honest and open with them, even when things are looking dire. If you are not totally honest, then they cannot give you the advice that will help you get out of trouble.

A company can have more than one website for its products and services. Multiple websites help a business owner in getting more traffic, leads and in turn sales.
Multiple website means different domains of same company providing same services and products. Business can be grown multifold if these sites are developed and optimized smartly in search engines.
There are basically two types of commercial websites:
1) Leads based website
2) Sales based website
For companies having leads based website, multiple websites can be developed without giving any reference to main website. E.g. a mortgage lender can have more than one websites for more leads coming in through search engines.
For companies having sales based website, multiple websites can be developed by keeping cart solution at one secured domain and all products pointing to it.
One should apply different search engine optimization strategies on different websites. So in case algorithm is changed, websites owner is always on safer side. There should be absolutely different content on every website and each website should be hosted on different servers having unique C Class IP address.
There should be no interlinking between websites. Otherwise search engines take it as network and can ban all sites.
There are more things to be kept in mind and an expert can help you in building good business online through multiple websites.

Chekan (pronounced Chek-Ahn) is a simple, wonderfully resourceful and positive lady who is one of the few friends who inspire me. This is simple account of how this stay-at-home Mom became an Entrepreneur who couldn’t stop making money even if she tried!
Like many women, Chekan had simple expectations in life. She was was contented to be a stay-at-home Mom, taking care of her family, but When her kids were older and didn’t need so much attention, she found a job at a major electronics production factory to keep busy and make a little extra money. She began picking up English simply to better herself. Eventually, her proficiency in English helped her secure a job in the company where I worked some ten years ago.
In her second year as receptionist in the company, fate took a cruel twist and changed her direction in life. Her husband was diagnosed with a illness which was potentially life-threatening. Faced with the very real possibility that she might have to be the sole bread winner, she did some serious thinking before joining a network marketing program dealing with household products. Although it was difficult at first, she carried on simple for the love of her family. She learnt the ropes of network marketing and quickly moved up the ladder to success. After approximately four years, she had six hundred members in her downline. Anyone involved in network marketing will tell you that this is a major achievement. She trained her downline well, encouraging them to succeed for their own betterment. This in turned, produced an army who worked hard, earning Chekan an impressive monthly commission to match her soaring reputation. She eventually reached an earnings level where she was rewarded with a brand new car fully paid for by the network marketing organization. Despite the many monetary and tangible rewards, what was more important was that Chekan had awakened the entrepreneur within her.
As Chekan moved on from success to success in her part-time network marketing business, she continued to keep her full-time job as a receptionist. She was later posted to a newly set-up division of the company, as an administrator. Most people thought this division was a waste of money and resources, resigning it to certain failure. As luck would have it, Chekan’s manager eventually resigned leaving Chekan who was the one who knew best the operation of the office - with the responsibility of running that office. Talk was that it would be a temporary situation, but Chekan, through sheer hard work proved everybody wrong and built that division into a veritable money making machine, using the skills and smarts that she learnt while building her network marketing business. We used to joke that this one-time homemaker now had more people working for her in her full time job and part-time network marketing than the boss of her full-time job!
I was privileged to work with Chekan for about a year before I left to set up my own businesses. I marveled at the workings of this God-fearing woman who by this time, could not stop making money even if she wanted to. Chekan is a perfect example of how to turn a crisis into opportunity and more. She now teaches ordinary women who were once like her to succeed and build a better life for themselves.
The lesson learnt from Chekan is simple. No matter who and what your circumstances are, you have the potential within you to achieve more than you ever dreamt possible. You CAN turn from a zero to a hero!

Importance of Audience Analysis
As I mentioned in an earlier article, audience analysis must be your first and formost objective if you want to have a successful website. Unless you know who is visiting your website your efforts will be less successful than if the site is focused on a particular audience. If the webmaster is to be successful in producing an effective website he/she must proceed systematically.
Analyzing the Audience
The webmaster should analyze his prospective audience in light of the message he is attempting to convey. You must be concerned with the range of ages represented in your visitors, the education and experience of this audience and their knowledge and opinions on your main theme.
You must adapt your website as specifically as possible to the audience that you are trying to reach. You will need more than a superficial knowledge of your target audience. What are their interests, are they educated or uneducated, are they experienced or inexperienced, what are their opinions and prejudices and what is their economic and social level.
The webmaster should never fail to consider the emotional state of his audience. Establish a common ground of feeling. You must analyze and utilize their motives and interests if you are to relate what you have to say to their habits of thought and feeling. To do this you must know as much as possible about the behavior and needs of the people who will be visiting your website.
Often, the subject of your website will give you a hint as to the character of your visitors. If they are interested enough to visit your website then you can expect that they have an interest in what you have to offer. Understand your audience in terms of the trends of the day as revealed through newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, the movies and web surfing. Compare the customs, standards, traditions and manners that you possess with that of your target audience and create a common ground with them.
Define and Refine
There are 4 steps, that if followed, will define your target audience and refine your site to meet their interests. They are;
1) Investigation - Consider the purpose of the website, the layout that best projects the idea that you wish to convey and characteristics of your prospective audience. List possible topics and select the one best suited to all aspects of the situation: your interests and qualifications, the requirements necessary to promote your ideas, the necessary content to accomplish this and the expectations and characteristics of the audience.
2) Organization - The next step for the webmaster is to determine the structure of the website. The webmaster must decide the logical requirements of the subject matter and the most appropriate way to adapt it to the prospective audience. Only after a webmaster has selected the topic, has analyzed the particular audience, and has collected the proper content will they be equipped to plan the structure of the website.
3) Method of Expression - The third step in building an audience friendly website is to express the thought in a way that will communicate to your audience exactly what you intend. The central theme should be easy to follow, the vocabulary must be suited to the understanding of the audience and be interesting enough to hold the attention of your visitors.
4) Mastery of the Content - You must master the content of your website and present a logical sequence of ideas leading to a particular goal. Set up your website in such a way that there is a smooth progression from one idea to another. Make clear the exact meaning of what you are saying each step of the way.
